Leading Africa Scholarship 2023 for OYW Summit in the UK

The Leading Africa Scholarship 2023 is now accepting applications for exceptional young individuals from Africa who are dedicated to creating a positive impact in their local communities and beyond.

The scholarship offers the opportunity to attend the fully funded One Young World Youth Summit, which will be held in the United Kingdom in 2023.

Africa has the largest population of young people in the world, with over 60% of its population under the age of 25. Many countries on the continent are facing challenges of governance and violent extremism, with 72% of the labour force in “vulnerable” employment.

However, with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, young and ambitious Africans have the potential to bring transformation to various sectors, including governance, energy, infrastructure, and medicine.

To help nurture and support these junior leaders, the One Young World Summit brings together outstanding talents from various sectors worldwide who are committed to driving social change.

The summit draws delegates from over 190 countries and provides valuable guidance from influential leaders in politics, business, and humanitarianism. Previous speakers have included Justin Trudeau, Paul Polman, Meghan Markle, and many other notable global figures.
